These are some factors why we lose our hair, let's start by identifying a hair loss that is considered natural from excessive hair loss.

It's considered normal to lose an average of 85-90 a day, sounds like a lot, right? And besides, who will take on the task of counting them? Identifying excess hair loss is much easier than counting hairs.
For example, it is very normal to leave some hair on the brush when we are combing it, but it is not normal to find hair on the pillow when we wake up in the morning, it is normal to lose some hair in the shower when washing our hair (later I will explain how to reduce this effect) what is not normal is that when you run your hand through your dry hair during the day you bring hair between your fingers.
Hair loss can occur for reasons of bad care habits, incorrect use of products, genetics (especially in men), but it can also be a sign that your body is giving you that something is not right.
Let's start with the most basic, bad habits:
1. Wash your hair excessively.
2. Extremely hot water.
3. Brush your hair in the shower during the wash.
4. Scrub hair really hard with the towel to dry.
5. Tie your hair in a ponytail or bun when it is still wet or damp.
6. Sleeping with wet or damp hair.
7. Wear hats or turbans with damp hair.
8. Not brushing your hair regularly.
These are the most common bad habits, how many do you do?
Don't tell me, is a miracle that we still have hair, right!
Another of the most common reasons that causes excessive hair loss is the improper use of hair products. The first thing you have to do to select the right product for your hair is to identify the natural condition of your scalp, most and especially women take into account our hair more than our scalp when selecting a product, for example; A woman who bleaches her hair to look a lighter shade than natural will usually have dry hair as a result of bleaching and the use of hair dyes, but she could have an oily scalp and the poor choice of a product with excess oils to soften her hair could leave an excess of greasy residue on her scalp. As a result of the extreme smoothing of the hair follicles comes hair loss, and in many cases the generation of dandruff due to the accumulation of product plus the natural oils of the head.
If you have doubts, it is not easy for you to identify what type of scalp you have, you have tried a wide variety of hair products and nothing works for you, maybe it is time to consult an expert.
And remember if you have extreme hair loss, maybe your body is giving you a signal that something is not right, it can be a simple hormonal imbalance or something more serious, in the event that hair loss is linked to other symptoms, I recommend you consult with a doctor about the situation, But this is a topic that I will cover in another blog in more detail.
Let's continue with bad habits, most of us have bad habits when it comes to taking care of our hair, one of the most common is that we wash our hair with very hot water, we think that we should use hot water to remove the grease residues on the scalp but this is a mistake the scalp produces oil for its own protection the use of very hot water can be counterproductive and could cause a excess oil production the recommendation is cold-warm water between 19-20°C or 68°F.
The production of oil varies from person to person, it is important to let the oils be produced to keep our scalp healthy and thus avoid hair loss and of course promote growth (we will return to this topic in a blog for more details) an excess of hair washing will leave the scalp dry therefore the quality of our hair will decrease, It is recommended that hair washing is done every other day, or a maximum of three times a week, be careful if you are one of those people who wash your hair excessively, factors such as sweat and oil production can be controlled with the correct use of products.
Here are some recommendations for healthy hair:
1. Wash your hair a maximum of three times a week.
2. Use cold to warm water.
3. Do not brush or detangle your hair in the shower, if your hair is very tangled I suggest you dry brush it before washing it, to avoid pulling out the hair, shampoo, conditioner, hot water and even steam inside the shower soften the hair follicles and when brushing your hair you will be pulling it out by the roots.
4. When you leave the bathroom, remember that the hair is not rubbed with the towel, it should only be used to absorb excess water. Once you remove the excess water, give your scalp a few minutes to cool down, and with the help of a detangling product and a special brush, proceed to detangle it from the ends upwards.
5. Never put your hair in a ponytail or bun when it is still wet, your hair should be 100% dry.
6. Never go to sleep with wet hair, during the night your body generates more heat, your body heat and humidity will open your hair follicles and with the friction of the pillow your hair will be pulled, not to mention that moisture that remains on the pillow ensures that it keeps bad smells and ends up rotting.
7. Finally, make sure to choose the appropriate hair care products for your hair type and especially for your scalp. If you have any doubts, consult a specialist.
I challenge you to follow these tips for a couple of weeks, you will notice great changes in your hair, tell me how it went!
